France's Axel Mazella claimed the lead in the men's event on day two of the 2018 Formula Kite European Championships in Germany.

He was in fine form at the event taking place in Warnemuende, a seaside resort and a district of Rostock.

Mazella won six of the seven races he competed in today, and was also second once - a result which is currently discarded.

The Frenchman also won the only race held yesterday amid strong winds.

Britain's Oliver Bridge is second after he also claimed six victories today among his fleet, but he now has a currently discarded 10th on his record after winning yesterday.

His brother Guy Bridge is one place behind, adding to his second place on day one with six wins and a second place.

In the women's event, American Daniela Moroz has a perfect record after clinching six more wins to add to her opening success.

Elena Kalinina of Russia is third on a record of six second place finishes and one fourth.

Steph Bridge, the mother of Oliver and Guy, is third with five third place finishes, a fourth and a sixth.
