Uzbekistan dazzled in home water to win three gold medals on the second day of action at the final International Swimming Federation Artistic Swimming World Series event of the season in Tashkent.

Action is taking place over three days at the Sahovat Swimming Center in the Uzbek capital.

The hosts began the day in perfect fashion with a score of 75.3667 points to win the highlight event.

Slovakia finished second, with 74.1667, as only two teams featured.

The same Uzbek squad then returned to the pool to triumph again in the team free final.

They scored 77.4000 to beat Slovakia, second with 74.15333, and Uzbek club side Andijan, who were third with 62.9667.

Mexico's Joanna Betzabe Jimenez Garcia broke Uzbekistan's winning streak with a superb score of 82.5333 to win the solo technical competition.

Marlene Bojer of Germany came second with 78.4643 and Nada Daabousova of Slovakia took third with 77.2741.

The host nation had to settle for fourth place courtesy of Khonzodakhon Toshkhudjaeva with 73.6928.

They soon returned to winning ways, however, as Dinara Ibragimova and Vyatcheslav Rudnev triumphed in the mixed duet with 70.6333.

Aleksey Sevelev and Evita Vayts took silver in a Uzbek 1-2-3 with 57.1000 as Amir Ikramov and Sevara Latipova clinched bronze with 52.2333.

Action will conclude tomorrow.
