Iseo in northern Italy is due to host the second stop of the 2018 World Paratriathlon Series tomorrow.

Top Paratriathletes across different classifications will show their skills with a 750 metres swim in the Lake of Iseo before a 21km cycle and a 4.8km run in the city centre.

Dutch duo Jetze Plat and Geert Schipper will be leading contenders in the PTWC division as they seek to repeat their 1-2 finish from the season opener in Yokohama.

Great Britain's Commonwealth Games champion Joseph Townsend will be among other leading contenders.

Jade Jones will also lead a strong British challenge in the corresponding women's event, where fellow former wheelchair racer Wakako Tsuchida of Japan is expected to be a major rival.

Australia's Lauren Parker should also feature only one year after the horrific training crash which left her paralysed.

Britain's Andy Lewis, American Mark Barr and Mohammed Lahna, who is competing under the International Triathlon Union flag after requesting a nationality change from Morocco to United States, will lock horns in the PTS2 event.

Allysa Seely will lead a strong US team in the PTS2 event. 

France's Alexis Hanquinquant is among other leading entries in the PTS4 men's category while Canada's Stefan Daniel, Spain's Jairo Ruiz Lopez and France's Yannick Bourseaux will start as favourites in the PTS5 division.

Rio 2016 silver medallist Lauran Steadman starts as favourite in the corresponding women's PTS5 category.
