Some of the most famous names in golf will be competing at the upcoming Senior Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) Championship at The Golf Club at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor.

Scotland's Colin Montgomerie, who led the European team to victory in the 2010 Ryder Cup, will be one of the golfers in attendance and he will be looking to clinch his first title since 2015, when the event took place at French Lick Resort in Indiana.

The 54-year-old also won the title in 2014.

One player that will be hoping to stop Montgomerie is Rocco Mediate of the United States, a six-time PGA Tour winner.

Mediate won the event when it was last held in Benton Harbor in 2016.

Other notable names who will compete in Benton Harbor are Jerry Pate, the winner of the 1976 US Open, 1995 US Open champion Corey Pavin and 1998 Masters and Open title winner Mark O'Meara, who are all from the United States.

A total of 155 players will be competing at the tournament with the winner set to pocket $540,000 (£404,000/€460,000).

The Golf Club at Harbor Shores has a par of 71 and is 6,852 yards long.
