Hosts Iran, the Paralympic sitting volleyball champions, maintained their unbeaten record in the World Super 6 in Tabriz today as they defeated Germany 3-0.

World champions Bosnia and Herzegovina, beaten 3-2 by Iran and 3-1 by Russia in their last two games, recovered their form to defeat Ukraine 3-0.

The third match today at the Sadra Sports Hall saw Russia defeat the United States 3-0.

In tomorrow’s final round robin matches Iran are due to play the US, Ukraine will meet Russia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Germany.

Iran are already assured of a place in the final on Tuesday (April 24), where they will meet the team finishing second overall.

This is the second edition of the international competition, which only included women’s teams last year and saw Russia taking the gold medal in Hangzhou in China.
