The 3x3 Hustle was created in partnership with the NBL and Basketball Australia to coincide with the format gaining a place on the Olympic programme at Tokyo 2020.

It is claimed it is a "a connected product from grass roots to elite performance", which aims to "provide a pathway for aspiring players to rise from the suburbs of Australia to the world stage".

The 3x3 basketball nationals has been classified as a "Big Hustle" event, allowing players the chance to earn a spot on the International Basketball Federation World Tour.

Registration for the event is due to open next month and conclude in mid-July.
