New Zealand have selected their squad for the World Junior Taekwondo Championships and the Buenos Aires 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament.

Both events will be taking place in Hammamet in Tunisia, starting with the Youth Olympic qualifier on April 6 and 7.

The World Junior Championships will then follow in the African nation, between April 9 and 13.

Taekwondo New Zealand (TNZ) have confirmed that their participation at both events has been endorsed by World Taekwondo and they will now send a squad of four athletes.

In men's action, Jacob Moylan has been selected at 63 to 73 kilograms for the Youth Olympic qualifier and under-68kg for the World Junior Championships.

Stella Bismark and Jemesa Landers will compete for New Zealand in women's events.

Bismarck will enter the 55-63kg Youth Olympic event and will weigh in at under-59kg for the World Championship.

Landers will compete at over-63kg for a place in Argentina's capital and at under-68kg in a bid for world glory.

"TNZ congratulates all four athletes on their selection and would like to thank the selectors, athletes, coaches and clubs who participated in the selection process," said TNZ chief executive Matt Ransom.

"Also, a special thanks to the parents and clubs for their hard work and efforts in getting our athletes to this point.

"We wish Stella, Jemesa, Jacob and Finn all the very best and every success for both events.

"It's now time for us all to rally behind our Junior World Championships and Youth Olympic Qualifier team."
