South Korea’s Inbee Park and Sweden’s Pernilla Lindberg will continue a dramatic playoff tomorrow at the ANA Inspiration at the Mission Hills Country Club in California.

Park and the United States’ Jennifer Song were among five players who began the day four shots adrift of overall leader Lindberg.

They both achieve five-under-par rounds of 67 to put the pressure on Lindberg at the first of this year's five major championships of professional women's golf.

Lindberg carded a one-under round of 71, her highest score of the four day tournament.

It left her tied with Park and Song on 15-under-par, leaving the three players to contest a playoff.

Players were required to repeat the 18th hole, with the trio proving equally matched for the first two.

Song was eventually eliminated from the competition on the third playoff hole, having managed a par when her two rivals achieved birdies.

Despite darkness descending and floodlights being required, Park and Lindberg continued to press on for a fourth playoff hole.

The players were again unable to get the better of each other, both managing a par.

A decision was then taken for the finale of the tournament to resume tomorrow.

Lingberg will hope to claim her first major tomorrow, while Park will hope to claim the ANA Inspiration title for the second time, having triumphed back in 2013.

Park has won seven major titles so far in her career, as well as the Olympic gold medal at Rio 2016.
