Ng On Yee will resume her battle with Reanne Evans at the World Ladies Billiards and Snooker (WLBS) World Championships in Malta tomorrow.

Hong Kong's Ng is the defending champion who last month became the first Asian player to top the women's world rankings.

England's 11-time winner Reanne Evans will be another contender at the Dolmen Hotel in St Pauls Bay along with Wendy Jans of Belgium.

The event is due to take place alongside the first World Snooker Federation (WSF) World Championships and conclude on Saturday (March 17).

The four semi-finalists will also be invited to compete at the World Snooker Championship at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield in April and May.

A first prize of €10,000 (£8,900/$12,200) is on offer for the winner of the men's event.

The victor in the women's competition, where the prize fund is €6,000 (£5,300/$7,300), will also secure a place in qualifying for the World Snooker Championship.

A seniors event will also take place which, along with the women's competition, will last for the next four days.

The mixed-entry WSF Championships is due to begin after the women's event and last until March 24.
