South Africa will be hoping to maintain their slender lead in the World Rugby Sevens series standings when action resumes in Vancouver tomorrow.

South Africa lead by 10 points but have not won an individual leg since the season-opener in Dubai.

New Zealand have since triumphed in Cape Town before a home win for Australia in Sydney.

Fiji triumphed in Hamilton before a United States success last week in Las Vegas to continue the trend of different winners.

Hosts Canada will lock horns with Australia and the US tomorrow as well as Uruguay in Group A at BC Place.

Argentina, England, Wales and Samoa meet in Pool B while Olympic champions Fiji will take on Kenya, France and Spain in Pool C.

New Zealand and South Africa will then clash in a heavyweight Pool D which also contains Scotland and Russia.

“Vancouver is definitely one of our favorite spots and we really enjoy playing here," said South African captain Philip Snyman at a special launch event at Capilano Suspension Bridge.

"Going into this weekend it’s half way through the series so for us it is a very important tournament in terms of trying to hold a lead at the top of the table.

"Last weekend in Las Vegas we lost against Argentina in the semi-final so we want to do better and need to be taking a step further, targeting the final here in Canada.”

Pool action is scheduled for tomorrow before knock-out action on Sunday (March 11).
