The 2018 International Swimming Federation (FINA) Artistic Swimming World Series campaign will begin tomorrow with three days of competition in Montreuil in France.

This year will be the second staging of the circuit for artistic swimming - the new name adopted by FINA for synchronised swimming.

Action in Montreuil, to the east of French capital Paris, will take place at the Maurice Thorez Stadium.

Teams from China, Spain, Italy, Japan, Russia and Ukraine are all set to take part.

Olympic and world champions will be among the field, including Russia's Svetlana Kolesnichenko and Spain's Ona Carbonell.

Kolesnichenko was part of the team which won Olympic gold at Rio 2016 while Carbonell won the free combination world title in Rome in 2009.

Following the French leg of the Series, the circuit will move to Chinese capital Beijing between April 20 and 22.

Tokyo, Samorin, Budapest, Madrid, Surrey, Los Angeles, Syros Island and Tashkent will then host competitions.
