The final day of the Professional Squash Association Windy City Open at the University Club of Chicago's Cathedral Hall saw two Egyptians emerge triumphant in the men's and women's finals.

World number three Nour El Tayeb put in an excellent comeback to secure the women's trophy over New Zealand's Joelle King.

It had looked like number nine seed King was going to pull off a shock victory as she went 2-1 up inside three games, 8-11, 12-10, 13-11, and she even had two championship ball opportunities.

US Open champion El Tayeb, however, somehow managed to shift the momentum back in her favour, securing the final two games 11-9, 12-10 to clinch a 3-2 overall win.

The Egyptian could not hide her delight at winning her second World Series title.

"I can’t believe it," she said.

"I felt like I lost this match three or four times.

"I was down in the fourth, then I was down in the fifth.

"I really can't believe that I won the tournament.

"Every day that I've woken up I've felt tired but I knew that I can do it.

"I don't think I've ever only played five-setters in a tournament.

"I think I will have to give my physical fitness coach a very big bonus."

In the men's draw, El Tayeb's compatriot Mohamed Elshorbaby put in a convincing performance to beat younger brother Marwan 11-8, 11-8, 11-6 to clinch his sixth title of the season.

The display exemplified the soon-to-be world number one's form throughout the week and his victory today means the world champion did not drop a game in the entire tournament.

"It's been an incredible season," Elshorbagy said after his win.

"After last season - I worked really hard, set new goals that I wanted to achieve, and it just shows that nothing can stop anyone achieving their dream if they work hard for it.

"I'm really glad to get through this match with my brother.

"He has played incredible this season and he will still get better.

"This is the second time we've played in a big final and his first World Series title will come at the right time - I just wanted to keep it a little bit later than today."
