Each nation will play three matches during the preliminary stage of the competition.

The top two highest-ranked teams from each pool and the two best third-ranked teams will advance to the quarter final phase.

"It is an exciting day for all the competing nations and beach volleyball fans around the world to learn the full match schedule for Gold Coast 2018," said Louise Martin, Commonwealth Games Federation President.

"We are proud to see beach volleyball being contested at the Commonwealth Games for the first time in history at Gold Coast 2018 - this is another great milestone in what is a Commonwealth Games of many 'firsts'.

"It's also extremely pleasing to see such strong diversity and representation from all regions of the Commonwealth, with teams from Oceania, Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean taking part in beach volleyball."

Gold Coast 2018 said premium hospitality experiences remain available for the beach volleyball and seven other sports, however.

Beach volleyball will take place in Coolangatta, with a temporary venue constructed in readiness for the Games.

"Construction of the Coolangatta venue, which will host 4,000 spectators for seven exciting days of the beach volleyball competition at Gold Coast 2018, is on time and on budget," said Mark Peters, Gold Coast 2018 chief executive.
