The sponsorship was revealed at the Uniform and Accreditation Centre alongside volunteers, who were given some of the company's Proud & Punch range.

Gold Coast 2018 chairman Peter Beattie and chief executive Mark Peters handed out the products.

"For many, visiting the Uniform and Accreditation Centre to collect their Games Shaper uniform is a highlight, but I suspect given the recent bout of warm weather, getting a frozen Proud & Punch is a 'berry' nice start to the day," said Beattie.

"In total our 15,000 volunteers will complete 130,000 shifts which equates to around one million hours of services and to be frank, this event couldn't be held without them.

"Since opening in late January we've had more than 6,300 volunteers, workforce and contractors visit the Uniform and Accreditation Centre to get their Games accreditation and come Games time nearly 50,000 people will have visited the venue."

The Proud & Punch range is set to be served at the Coolangatta beach volleyball venue during the Games.

Organisers also said the public will be able to purchase products from Peters Ice Cream freezers throughout the multi-sport event.

The company are the latest sponsor confirmed by Gold Coast 2018 as the countdown continues towards the Games.

"In terms of our overall programme we've acquired the largest number of sponsors for any Commonwealth Games," said Peters.

"Volunteers will have a great time interacting with the crowd during Gold Coast 2018 from Wednesday April 4.

"With the recent training they've undertaken they will be well equipped to stay cool right through until the Closing Ceremony."

The Games are set to take place from April 4 to 15.
