Jesse Broadwater of the United States shot for a total of 600 points to defend his Las Vegas trophy at the Indoor Archery World Cup at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa.

Broadwater led the American dominance in the men’s compound event, with all three medal winners hailing from America.

The two-time World Indoor Championship gold medallist was pushed close by Kristoffer Schaff in the final but eventually came out on top by virtue of a shootout after a 146-146 draw.

"I’m happy that I came away with the win, but I do think I could have shot even better," said Broadwater.

"I felt like I left a lot of points out there that I shouldn’t have.

"It’s always tough in a gold medal match, there’s always more pressure.

"I feel good about winning, but I still think I could have done a little bit better."

Braden Gellenthien secured bronze in the small final.

The women’s compound title was taken by Russia's Alexandra Savenkova, who beat Denmark's Tanja Jensen in the final 146-144.

So Chaewon of South Korea claimed bronze.
