United States Nordic skier Oksana Masters has been voted as the Allianz Athlete of the Month for January after dominating the latest World Cup event with nearly half of the vote.

The American skier was in top form at the World Cup in Oberried as she builds towards next month's Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang.

Masters triumphed in the short, middle and long distance cross-country races in the German town.

She continued her success in the biathlon events, claiming gold medals in two of three races.

The results continue to suggest the sit-skier will build on the silver and bronze medals she earned at Sochi 2014.

Masters, a Paralympic rowing bronze medallist at London 2012, received 48 per cent of the public vote.

He was followed by Japan’s wheelchair tennis player Shingo Kunieda and French alpine skier Marie Bochet.
