Beijing 2022's official licensed products are reportedly recording impressive sales after their launch in December.

Products were originally available for purchase using Beijing 2022's official online store.

Organisers also opened 15 stores throughout January, with the majority located in the Chinese capital city.

The cities of Shijiazhuang, Hebei, Shanghai and Nanjing also have stores.

It has been claimed the combination of the online and retail stores have led to "impressive" sales, with products reported to have sold out on several occasions.

According to China Daily, ¥1 million (£113,000/$158,000/€127,000) worth of sales has been made to date.

The classic silver souvenir medal is claimed to have been the best selling item to date, followed by a souvenir stamp set of the Olympic city and a classic gold souvenir medal.

A souvenir envelope and gold snowflake medal complete the top three.

Stores are expected to sell around 140 products to the public, which includes badges, keyrings, clothing and commemorative stamps.

Products contain the Beijing 2022 emblem and posters, which are designed to help bring residents closer to the Winter Olympics with four years to go.

Beijing will become the first city to host both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

The Games are set to take place from February 4 to 22 in 2022.
