German sliders dominated on home ice at the International Luge Federation (FIL) Junior Luge World Championships in Altenberg.

Max Langenhan kept up the excellent form that has seen him win every Junior World Cup event this season as he completed the course in an overall time of 1min 43.66secs after two runs.

The 18-year-old was the only athlete to clock a run time under 52 seconds, doing so on both of his runs, as he won gold.

His compatriots David Nössler and Paul-Lukas Heider completed the podium line-up with times of 1:44.247 and 1:44.349 respectively.
