Pablo Nolte piloted the German team to the gold medal in the four-man bobsleigh event as the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation Junior World Championships concluded in St Moritz.

Nolte, Alexander Mair, Matthias Sommer and Florian Bauer led a German clean sweep as they clocked a combined 2min 10.10sec from their two runs.

Christoph Hafer and his crew of Michael Salzer, Sebastan Mrowka and Tobias Schneider were 0.08 seconds adrift in silver medal position.

Bennet Buchmüller, Paul Krenz, Christian Hammers and Costa Laurenz completed the German four-man dominance as they finished in 2:10.45.

The top five crews were all German as the nation monopolised the podium and demonstrated the strength in depth they have even at junior level.

The under-23 title was sealed by Germany's Richard Oelsner and his team of Benedikt Hertel, Alexander Schueller and Paul Straub.

Their time of 2:10.67 was enough to finish fifth in the main competition and was the quickest posted by any of the under-23 teams.

Switzerland Michael Vogt, Alain Knuser, Silvio Weber and Sandro Michel delivered a medal for the hosts as they took silver, 0.24 seconds adrift of the German quartet.

Alexander Bredikhin, Denis Korotkov, Vladislav Zharovtsev and Georgiy Kuzmenko of Russia won the bronze medal.
