Norway's Maren Lundby continued her good form to win again at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski Jumping World Cup in Sapporo today.

Lundby, who also enjoyed a victory yesterday in the Japanese city, produced leaps of 95.5 and 98 metres, for a total score of 251.60 points.

Defending overall champion Sara Takanashi of Japan jumped 90.0 and 93.0m to finish second on her home hill, 20.2 points behind.

Katharina Althaus of Germany finished third for her sixth podium placing of the season.

She managed 94.0 and 89m for 230.2 points.

"I am very happy with my performance today," said Lundby.

"My jumps were really good.

"I will go to Zao [for the next World Cup event] next weekend because I really like Japan.

"The Olympics are still pretty far away but I want to win the gold medal."

Neither Althaus nor Germany's reigning Olympic champion Carina Vogt will compete in Zao as they plan to return home to train instead.

The second men's ski flying leg of the weekend scheduled for the Kulm-hill in Bad Mitterndorf, Austria today was cancelled due to strong winds.

"We had a situation with side wind that made it impossible to let an athlete jump today at any time," said FIS race director Walter Hofer.

"We wanted to wait and see if there is a chance later, but the daylight also became an issue because due to the cancellation of the qualification we would have had 57 athletes in the competition.

"That's why we had to make this decision now."
