ENAS is a representative body for the sector within the European Commission and are regularly invited to be present at European Community events and to contribute to policy development through membership of working groups, where policies and recommendations of good practice are developed for the European community.

"Being entrusted with the role of President, is a great honour for me," said Parker.

"I am determined to lead the organisation forward with enthusiasm and energy.

"We never stop learning, and the ENAS network is a fantastic source of ideas and inspiration for me in my role as head of sport and recreation at Middlesex University.

"I have met some great people, and been able to facilitate some great sporting and development opportunities for the students and staff at my institution.

"I believe the ENAS network is in some respects a well-kept secret, but I’m determined that during my term of office, I’ll endeavour to spread the opportunities provided through membership more widely, and see if more institutions, particularly in the UK, can enjoy the benefits of membership."
