Hosts Germany were denied a third successive win at the Women’s World Handball Championships as Dragana Cvijić scored a dramatic late equaliser in their match against Serbia in Leipzig today.

Cvijić struck with just seconds left on the clock to secure the 2013 world silver medallists a 22-22 draw at the Leipzig Arena.

Both nations remain undefeated after three matches with Serbia also having won their opening two games.

"We were looking forward to tonight’s match," Serbia coach Ljubomir Obradović said.

"We had the chance to win.

"Our rivals also had the chance to win.

"In the end, this was the most realistic final score."

Earlier in Group D, South Korea beat China 31-19 and The Netherlands overcame Cameroon 29-22.
