Americans Nick Taylor and David Wagner beat British pair Andy Lapthorne and Anthony Cotterill to take the quads title at the Wheelchair Doubles Masters at the Sportcentrum Schaapskooi in Bemmel, The Netherlands.

This title means that the duo have now won ten Doubles Masters crowns.

Taylor and Wagner took the first set relatively comfortably at 6-4 but faced some stern resistance from the Britons in the second.

Lapthorne and Cotterill took a 2-1 lead early in the set before the 2016 Paralympic champions rallied back to take it 6-3 to win the match and the gold medal.

Earlier on in the day, the line-up for the final of the women's doubles was decided, with Bine Ellerbrock and Aniek van Koot coming through their semi-final against Lucy Shuker and Dana Mathewson 6-3, 6-4.

They will face top seeds Diede de Groot and Marjolein Buis of The Netherlands who beat Charlotte Famin and Kgothatso Montjane.

Buis and de Groot, who won a silver medal in the doubles at the Rio 2016 Paralympics, had to battle back from a 5-7 second-set loss to take victory in the third.

The final events of the day were the men's semi-final matches on Centre Court.

The first one saw reigning champions and top seeds Stephane Houdet and Nicolas Peifer come through with ease 6-2, 6-4 in just under an hour against Joachim Gerard of Belgium and Stefan Olsson of Sweden.

Today's closing event saw British duo Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett joint Houdet and Peifer in tomorrow's final with a comfortable victory over Gustavo Fernandez and Maikel Scheffers.

They were clearly the better team from the start and raced into a 4-0 lead in the first set before eventually taking it 6-1.

The second set was similarly comfortable for Reid and Hewett as they ran out 6-2 winners to take the match.
