Three Indian boxers secured places in finals at the International Boxing Association Women's Youth World Championships in Guwahati.

The hosts enjoyed a strong day of semi-final action at the Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Indoor Stadium, with just one loss accompanying the trio of wins.

Jyoti provided the first excitement for the home crowd after winning her 51 kilogram women's flyweight bout 4-1 against Kazakhstan's Zhansaya Abdraimova.

The Indian boxer will now take on Ekaterina Molchanova in the final, with the Russian beating Japan's Rinka Kinoshita by a unanimous points verdict.

India's Ankushita Boro progressed to the women's 64kg light welterweight final, courtesy of a convincing 5-0 win over Thailand's Thanchanok Saksri.

Boro is set to meet Russia's Ekaterina Dynnik, after she beat Katelynn Phelan of Ireland unanimously.

The hosts' hopes of four straight finalists was ended in the women's over 81kg heavyweight event, with Neha Yadav suffering a 5-0 loss to Dina Islambekova of Kazakhstan.

Islambekova will take on Russia's Kristina Tkacheva, who was a unanimous winner against Sueda Sahin of Turkey.

The women's 75kg competition, which was the only event not to feature an Indian boxer in the semi-finals, saw two dominant victories for boxers.

Russia's Anastasiia Shamonova beat Poland’s Natalia Marczykowska 5-0, before England's Georgia O'Connor replicated the score against Chinese Taipei's Ya-Chu Yang.

Competition will continue tomorrow with the remaining semi-finals.
