Brothers Olly and Guy Bridge began the International Kiteboarding Association World Championships in impressive fashion with the pairing topping the men’s standings in Oman.

The British duo were competing in different qualification fleets, but both claimed a series of race wins at the Al Mouj Beach.

Olly Bridge stormed to victories in each of his six races, placing him top of the combined standings on five points, with one race discarded.

The effort was all the more impressive due to reigning champion Maxime Nocher of France competing in the same fleet.

Guy Bridge was the dominant force in the second qualifying fleet, as he recorded four wins and a second place in the opening series.

He lies just behind his brother overall on six points, with France’s Nico Parlier third on the same tally.
