The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has announced details of the "Team USA WinterFest", which will aim to "bring the excitement" of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games to Americans.

The 13-stop, interactive festival will travel across the US and make one stop in South Korean capital Seoul.

Tour elements will include a Hershey's S’moresmobile, the Team USA social media truck and a curling challenge, along with a virtual-reality experience, interactive fan elements and athlete meet and greets.

The tour will make five stops in 2017 and eight in 2018, leading up to and during the Games.

The first will be in Times Square in New York City on November 1 in conjunction with the 100 day countdown to the Games starting.

“We have the most passionate fans in the world, and we are thrilled to capture the excitement of the upcoming Games and bring it to our fans across the country through Team USA WinterFest,” said USOC chief marketing officer, Lisa Baird.

“Thanks to the support of great Team USA partners, fans can meet inspiring athletes and enjoy the multiple interactive elements as they join Team USA in celebrating the upcoming Pyeongchang Games.”

The new S’moresmobile will provide fans with free, full-size Hershey's S'mores, while supplies last, at select stops.

The social media truck will feature multiple interactive stations, including an athlete Snapchat face swap and a digital message board for fans to share good-luck messages with US athletes before the Games.

A curling challenge will see fans test their skills and enter for a chance to win a trip to the stop in Park City in Utah on February 10, during the opening weekend of Pyeongchang 2018.

Additional tour elements include the skeleton virtual reality experience, which will take place in a life-size snow globe.

A stage for live entertainment will also appear at select stops, welcoming international musical artists.
