Unseeded qualifier Lin Gaoyuan won an all-Chinese men's singles final as the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Austrian Open concluded in Linz.

Lin won in five games over compatriot and number seven seed Yan An after a superb attacking final at the Tips Arena.

He moved into a 3-0 lead and although Yan then pulled a game back he was not to be denied the top step on the podium with a 12-10, 11-9, 12-10, 10-12, 11-7 victory.

It continues a fine run of form for Lin, who also won the ITTF Asia Cup title in India this month.

This is his first ITTF World Tour victory and he has now won all five of his main draw matches against seeded opposition.

In the women's singles final, Wang Manyu won another all-Chinese final by beating Gu Yuting in straight games, 11-9, 12-10, 11-2, 11-9.

Wang, who suffered disappointment in World Tour finals this year in Qatar and Australia, was finally able to claim a maiden title on the elite circuit as she dispatched her team-mate.

"Even though I won 4-0, three of the games were won by a narrow two points difference, so it wasn't as easy as the overall 4-0 seems," she said.

"It's my first World Tour title, with a first there will be a second, a third and so on.

"I hope this will be a good start for me."

Doubles finals were also held today with Japan experiencing mixed fortunes after reaching both the men's and women's showpiece games.

Koki Niwa and Jin Ueda won the men's crown by seeing off Germany's Ruwen Filus and Ricardo Walther 11-7, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8.

They had not dropped a game en-route to the final.

Honoka Hashimoto and Hitomi Sato were beaten in the women's doubles as China won another title through Xingtong Chen and Yingha Sun.

The Chinese twice came from behind to beat the Japanese pair, who were the defending champions, 4-11, 11-7, 7-11, 12-10, 11-4.
