Hong Kong's Lee Wai Sze claimed the women's sprint title on the third day of track cycling competition here at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Turkmenistan's capital Ashgabat.

Lee, the current Asian champion in the 500m time trial, keirin and individual sprint, won both the first and second races in the final for gold against India’s Deborah Herold.

The 30-year-old clocked winning times of 12.526sec and 11.694 respectively to clinch top honours.

Victory comes five months after Lee won the bronze medal at her home International Cycling Union (UCI) Track Cycling World Championships.

Indonesia’s Crismonita Dwi Putri rounded out today’s podium after beating Lee’s compatriot Ma Wing Yu in the final for bronze.

Putri won the first race in 12.030 and the second in 11.996.
