World Shooting Para Sport have expanded their partnership with electronic scoring systems provider SIUS to include Para trap.

The agreement is viewed as a continuation of World Shooting Para Sport’s efforts to integrate the shotgun discipline into their programme of events.

The first Para trap World Cup event is due to take place next Friday and Saturday (September 15 and 16) in Lonato in Italy.

Fans will now be able to follow live results from the event, due to the extended agreement with SIUS.

The company, a leading producer of electronic scoring systems, last year agreed to provide services at regional, world and IPC World Cup events until 2024.

SIUS became the first official partner of World Shooting Para Sport four years ago and has continued to support the sport following its growth since London 2012.

The partnership has allowed live results to be available for all competitions allowing supporters to follow them simultaneously.

"Our partnership with SIUS has been integral for us as a federation and the development of the sport," said Tyler Anderson, World Shooting Para Sport manager.

"We are thrilled to expand this partnership and continue to align ourselves with high quality organisations like SIUS.

"The inclusion of para trap is a positive step forward to grow and enhance the shooting sports.”

Para trap was approved as an official discipline by the International Paralympic Committee Governing Board in May.

An updated rulebook has been published for the shotgun discipline, which can be found here.
