Russia continued their total domination of the International Gymnastics Federation Rhythmic World Championships by clinching the team all-around title in Pesaro.

The sextet of Anastasia Bliznyuk, Anastasiia Tatareva, Maria Tolkacheva, Evgeniia Levanova, Kseniia Poliakova and Mariia Kravtsova scored a total of 37.700 points to triumph at the Adriatic Arena in the Italian city.

It means that Russia have won all six gold medals contested so far after the Averina twins - Dina and Arina - hoovered up all of the individual titles between them.

The Russians scored 18.950 in their five hoops routine and then 18.750 with the three balls/two ropes on their way to victory.

It meant Russia, the back-to-back Olympic champions in the team all-around, defended the world title they won in 2015.

Bulgaria, the world champions in 2014, won silver today as Teodora Aleksandrova, Elena Bineva, Simona Dyankova, Madlen Radukanova and Laura Traets scored 36.950.

The bronze went to Japan as Mao Kunii, Rie Matsubara, Sayuri Sugimoto, Ayuka Suzuki, Nanami Takenaka and Kiko Yokota tallied 36.650.

They just denied Italy a home medal as their team finished with 36.625 in fourth place.

The Championships will conclude tomorrow with the five ribbons and six clubs/two hoops finals.
