Kuwait’s Abdulrahman Al Faihan and Sara Al-Hawal won the mixed team trap competition at the seventh Asian Shotgun Championships in Kazakhstan’s capital Astana.

The duo beat South Korea’s Oh Taekeun and Kang Geeeun 36-35 in the gold medal match at the Eldorado Shooting Club.

Like all the other Kuwaiti shooters at the Championships, Al Faihan and Al-Hawal were competing as independent athletes given that their country is currently suspended from the International Olympic Committee due to Government interference.

India’s Kynan Chenai and Shreyasi Singh rounded out the podium after beating Lebanon’s Alain Moussa and Ray Bassil 40-38 in the bronze medal match.
