altApril 9 - The International Archery Federation (FITA) today announced a renewal of its sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines.

 

As part of the deal, all national team archers travelling on Turkish Airlines will be allowed extra luggage of 12 kg free of charge for their equipment.

Turkish Airlines have been the official airline of FITA since the beginning of the Archery World Cup in 2006.

 

The current agreement runs until April 1 2010 with an option for a further renewal.

 

Ugur Erdener, the president of FITA, said: “We are very pleased with this announcement.

 

"This shows that Turkish Airlines is a true supporter of archery and this will really help our archers travelling to international competitions.

 

"We are happy that our partners like Turkish Airlines really involve themselves in our sport."
