Eight skiers have been honoured at the 113th Annual General Assembly of the Swiss Ski Association.

The event took place in Losone with around 250 delegates present.

Alpine skier Mauro Caviezel led the awards after a memorable year.

He claimed a bronze medal on home snow at the International Ski Federation (FIS) World Championships in St Moritz after finishing third in the men's combined event.

The 28-year-old also secured a bronze at the FIS World Cup leg in Aspen in March.

Marc Berthod, who finished seventh in the combined event at the Turin 2006 Winter Olympic Games, was also handed a prize.
