Greece made history by reaching the semi-finals of EuroBasket Women for the first time ever.

They hammered Turkey 84-55 at the Prague Arena in the Czech Republic as the tournament reached the quarter-final stage in the capital city. 

Their win came despite the Turkish side leading 15-10 after the first quarter.

Evanthia Maltsi was a top performer for the Greeks, bagging 25 points in the victory.

There was also success for Belgium as they won their last eight contest with Italy.

After building a commanding 27-13 advantage following the first quarter, they were able to see out a 79-66 success.

Spain, the Rio 2016 Olympic silver medallists, also went through as they beat Latvia 67-47.

France also booked their place in the semi-finals as they defeated Slovakia 77-55.

In the semi-finals, Spain will take on Belgium and France will meet Greece.
