Pakistan and the West Indies have swapped places in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Twenty20 rankings after the former won a series between the two sides.

The West Indies, the two-time and reigning World Twenty20 champions, were beaten 3-1 on home soil by Pakistan in the best of four series.

The tourists first won by three wickets in Barbados' capital Bridgetown on March 26.

They then went 2-0 up in the series by winning by three runs in Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago on March 30.

The remaining two matches were also played in Port of Spain, with the West Indies giving themselves hope by winning match three by seven wickets on April 1.

The Pakistanis were able to wrap up the series, however, by winning the final match yesterday by seven wickets.

It means they are now fourth in the rankings, with the West Indies dropping to sixth.

New Zealand still top the pile, in front of India and South Africa respectively.

England sit in fourth place.
