Jose Luis Campo will run unopposed for another four-year term as President of the Americas Paralympic Committee (APC).

The Argentinian is the only contender for the top job with an election taking place at the APC General Assembly in Brazilian city São Paulo on March 18.

Campo became the founding President of the APC in 1997 and served two terms until 2005.

He was then replaced by Brazil's Andrew Parsons who served until 2009.

Colombia's Octavio Londono was in office until 2013 before Campo resumed duties by defeating him in an election, 14 votes to three.

He played a key role in organising the 2015 Parapan American Games in Toronto and will now look ahead to Lima 2019.

His tenure also included the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games on his home continent.

Elsewhere, Colombia's incumbent Eduardo Montenegro faces competition from American Julie O’Neill for the vice president role.

Three members of the APC Executive Committee will also be elected, with Dominican Republic’s Eladio Agramonte, Ecuador’s Bayron Lopez, Colombia’s Pedro Mejia, O’Neill and El Salvador’s Dionicio Zeledon standing as candidates.

Agramonte, Zeledon and Canada's Karen O'Neill are the current sitting members.

Representatives from the National Paralympic Committees of the Americas and the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Americas are eligible to vote.

The General Assembly in São Paulo will be held in the build-up to the 2017 Youth Parapan American Games in the city.

The Games are scheduled to take place between March 20 and 25.
