Production firm Sunset+Vine have been appointed as the host broadcasters for the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) confirmed the decision today which will see the company provide live coverage and highlights from the competition at the Olympic Stadium from July 14 to 23.

Sunset+Vine had already been appointed for the same role at the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championships, taking place at the same venue between August 4 to 13.

They have also previously worked with British television channel Channel 4 for its broadcasts from the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio.

"It’s a great honour to have been awarded the host broadcaster contract for the London 2017 World Para Athletics Championships," said the company’s chairman Jeff Foulser.

IPC commercial and marketing director Alexis Schäfer said the Committee are "excited" to have Sunset+Vine on board.

"Sunset+Vine have a track record of broadcasting global sports events to huge audiences and by working with them, we will take our coverage to a new level," he said.

There will be 213 medal events at the Championships with 1,300 athletes set to participate.
