Scotland's Paul Foster remains on course for a fifth World Indoor Bowls Championship title after progressing to the semi-finals today at the Potters Leisure Resort in Norfolk.

It came on the same day as English defending champion Nick Brett crashed-out to another Scot in Stewart Anderson.

Foster, winner in 1998, 2001, 2005 and 2011, prevailed despite losing the first set against English opponent Jamie Chestney.

The first set ended 10-6 before Foster found his form to level proceedings by taking the second 10-4.

He then won 2-1 in the tie break decider.

Brett, world champion for the first time in 2016, was overwhelmed by Anderson.

The Scot prevailed 10-5, 10-2 in two straight sets.

There has been some home success today, however, as Greg Harlow beat Scotland's David Gourlay 5-8, 10-4, 2-1.
