"I’m not normally that vocal," he admitted.

"It’s only when it means something to me.

"I’m probably going to keep the blue hair now because it worked and I only got a silver medal when I had red hair in London.

"My local hairdressers in Swansea did it at a major discounted price so I owe them quite a lot for that."

South Korea also claimed a gold medal today in the mixed individual BC3 event as Jeong Ho Won beat Grigorios Polychronidis of Greece.

The match was expected to be a closely fought encounter but the Asian player proved too strong in an 8-1 victory.
