DAEDO International have been announced as the gold sponsor of the European Taekwondo Union’s (ETU) 40-years Anniversary Gala.

The company are considered one of the leading taekwondo equipment suppliers, with their gear including World Taekwondo Federation recognised protective clothing, uniforms and kicking targets for training.

DAEDO also sponsor the Cypriot, Canadian, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, German and Spanish National Taekwondo Federations.

A delegation from the company are due to attend the gala, as well as the athletes who are being recognised.

Both the ETU and DAEDO will present several award categories on the night of the gala.

The supplier, whose headquarters are based in Barcelona, have been making taekwondo products since 1983 and four years later became the official sponsor and supplier at the World Taekwondo Championships.

They then became the official supplier of the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, and have continued to boost major taekwondo competitions, including developing a protector and scoring system to boost fair play in taekwondo.

The Gala is scheduled to take place in Bucharest, Romania, on September 9.

It will be held on the second day of the European Cadet Championships, which are taking place from September 8 to 10 in the Romanian capital city.
