Paris 2024 are due to unveil their logo for their bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games at the Arc de Triomphe on Tuesday (February 9).

The event is expected to see members of the French spots movement joined by the general public at the famous monument, which honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars.

The Arc, located at the western end of the Champs-Élysées, is also has the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from the First World War underneath its vault.

Paris 2024 are scheduled to reveal the design of the logo at 20:24 Central European Time.

The emblem will be at the centre of the French capital's efforts to bring the Summer Olympics Games back to the country for the first time since 1924.

Design agency Dragon Rouge were tasked with developing the design, after winning a tender procedure.

Rome, one of Paris’ rivals for the Olympics and Paralympics, revealed their logo live on television in December at the Palazzetto dello Sport.

A total of 2,500 schoolchildren were present at the event, with the design featuring the city’s famous Colosseum in the colours of the country's flag - red, white and green.

Budapest and Los Angeles are also in the running for the Games, with International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach having just completed a visit to the American city earlier this week.

Candidates are preparing to finalise and hand in the first part of their Candidature File to the IOC, which must be done by February 17.

The submissions are due to cover their vision, Games concept and strategy.

The International Olympic Committee is set to announce a winner at its Session in Peru's capital Lima in 2017.
