Two-time world champion Heather Richardson-Bergsma raced to the women's 1,500 metres title, pipping team-mate and rival Brittany Bowe by 0.15 seconds.

This was a role reversal from the 1,000m yesterday, won by Bowe, and means that the pair have won two races each over 1,500m in the World Cup season so far.

Richardson-Bergsma's winning time was 1min 55.29sec, with Dutch skater Marrit Leenstra 0.83 adrift in third on her home track.

Joey Mantia took home the second American gold as he skated to the men's 1,500m title with a time of 1:44.26.

Russia's Denis Yuskov was only 0.12 behind him while The Netherlands settled for bronze again thanks to Kjeld Nuis, who was 1.07 behind.

Richardson-Bergsma could not make it two victories as she was denied in the 500m by China's Jing Yu, who edged the American skater by 0.03 seconds with her winning time of 37.84.

China also took the bronze courtesy of Hong Zhang.

In the men's 500m, Russia Ruslan Murashov triumphed in a time of 34.67sec ahead of Canadian Alex Boisvert-Lacroix and Norway's Espen Aarnes Hvammen.

The women's mass start was won by Japan's Misaki Oshigiri, who denied Dutch skater Carien Kleibeuker and Canada's Ivanie Blondin.

There was home success, however, as Arjan Stroetinga took the men's mass start title, ahead of Fabio Francolini of Italy and South Korea's Seung-Hoon Lee.
