The FEI has revealed the list of officials for the equestrian events at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games ©FEI

The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has announced the list of officials for their various events at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro next year.

Britain’s Juliet Whatley will act as chief steward, while compatriot Amanda Bond, former chief executive of British Dressage, will be a technical delegate alongside Jan-Holger Holtschmit of Germany.

The Netherlands’ Hanneke Geritsen, technical delegate at London 2012, will be the President of the grand jury and will be joined by several members who also officiated at last year’s FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy.

Marc Urban of Belgium, France's Anne Prain, Marco Orsini of Germany, Britain’s Sara Leitch, Alison King of Hong Kong and Kjell Myhre of Germany have been named as the members of the grand jury.

Austria’s Eva Bachinger and Carlos Lopes of Portugal will act as reserves and will be able to step in if needed.

Ulf Wilken, who chairs the Executive Committee of the International Group for Equestrian Qualifications, an independent voluntary organisation of National Equestrian Federations, has been appointed President of the Appeal Committee.

He will be joined by members Hope Hand of the United States and Israeli Ken Lalo.

The Veterinary Commission will be led by Thomas Wolff of Brazil, while Sweden’s Amanda Welin has been chosen to be the foreign veterinary delegate.

Veterninary Commission associate member Sergio Salinas of Mexico will also be at the Games in Rio alongside Peter Kallings of Sweden and Peter Stolk of The Netherlands, who will be the testing veterinarians.

Equestrian events at Rio 2016 are scheduled to take place at the National Equestrian Centre, located in the Deodoro Cluster of venues.

The Games themselves are due to take place from September 7 to 18.
