Bo Hedges secured 13 points in Canada's 56-45 win against Argentina ©Wheelchair Basketball CanadaThe United States and hosts Canada have brought their winning tally up to two victories apiece at the Americas Wheelchair Basketball Challenge in Toronto.

Reigning Paralympic champions Canada put on a strong performance in the second half of their match against Argentina to secure a 56-45 win at the friendly warm-up tournament, which is taking place at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

The two nations were neck and neck at 25-25 going into halftime before the hosts outscored their rivals 31-20 in the final two quarters of the game to remain undefeated in the competition.

Eight different players scored for Canada, with Bo Hedges, who secured 13 points, Nik Goncin, who rounded out his contributions with a three-pointer in the fourth quarter to finish with 11 points, and David Eng, with nine, among them.

Argentina's star player was Daniel Copa, who scored a game-high 18 points.

The US, meanwhile, defeated Brazil 81-57, largely thanks to Jared Arambula and Carter Arey's 19 and 18 points respectively.

Anderson Ferreira scored a team high of 13 points for Brazil.

The action continues tomorrow with a Canada v Brazil rematch - the hosts defeated Brazil 76-64 in their opening game, while the US take on Argentina.
