Vogt amassed 245.2 points with jumps of 92 metres and 90m to seal her second World Cup win of the season as she ended Daniela Iraschko-Stolz's recent run of dominance before the Austrian's home fans. 

Iraschko-Stolz triumphed the competition yesterday but had to settle for second this time around, while Slovenia's Spela Rogelj enjoyed a return to form, rounding off the podium by taking third.

The result sees Iraschko-Stolz keep hold of her lead at the top of the overall leaderboard on 622 points, while Vogt is now 54 points adrift of top spot in second.

Japan's efending champion Sara Takanashi, who finished in a disappointing eighth place, is third but she is some way behind the leading pair on 493 points.

"It was nice to beat Daniela in front of her home crowd, after she won both of my home competitions," Vogt said.

"It's great that I have already won two World Cups this year.

"The hill was very well prepared and we had good conditions and it was a lot of fun today.

"I hope I also show such a good performance in Rasnov."

In the men's event in Willingen, German Severin Freund leapt to victory on home snow after colossal efforts of 149.5m and 146m had given him 270.3 points.

Freund edged out Norwegian Rune Velta by just a solitary point on his way to securing a third World Cup win of the season, while Roman Koudelka of the Czech Republic was some way back in third, finishing with a total of 252.4 points.

Current overall leader Stefan Kraft of Austria could only finish sixth but remains in top spot with 1,083 points.

Slovenia's Peter Prevc, instrumental in his nation's team success yesterday, is second on 1,054, while Koudelka is third with 916 points, three ahead of Freund.

The World Cup event continues on February 6 in Titisee-Neustadt, Germany.
