Over the 10 days of action in Russia, one in four people in the previous Games host nation watched at least some of the more than 90 hours of English language television broadcasts provided by the Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) Broadcast Consortium on CBC, Sportsnet, Sportsnet One and Accessible Media Inc.

The CPC Consortium also provided 250 hours of online coverage from the Paralympics, with CBC's dedicated microsite garnering more than 850,000 page views and 120,000 video views - including 10,000 live video views of the Canada versus United States ice sledge hockey semi-final game - over the course of Sochi 2014.

Four separate venue feeds offering live streaming of alpine skiing, Nordic skiing, ice sledge hockey and curling events with English commentary were also available, meaning that Sochi 2014 gave Canadians more Paralympic coverage than ever before.

Canada finished third overall at the Sochi 2014 Paralympics with 16 medals - seven gold, two silver and seven bronze.

Visually impaired cross country skier Brian McKeever was the standout performer for the country, taking three gold medals, with alpine sit-skier Josh Dueck, Nordic sit-skier Chris Klebl, visually impaired alpine skier Mac Marcoux and the wheelchair curling team of Jim Armstrong, Ina Forrest, Sonja Gaudet, Mark Ideson and Dennis Thiessen also topping their respective podiums.
