Kim squared up to compatriot Jung Won Jun in the men's under 81 kilogram final.

While not at his blistering best, the Olympic champion took the gold medal by virtue of shido penalty count.

Lee Seungsu ensured a third medal for South Korea in the category by taking bronze while Sweden's Robin Pacek also claimed a podium spot.

An uchi-mata in golden time saw Gwak Dong Han better his silver from last year against Greece's Ilias Iliadis in the under 90kg decider with bronze medals going to Ukraine's Quedjau Nhabali and Japan's Takeshi Sugahara.

Beijing Olympic champion Naidan Tuvshinbayar of Mongolia topped the under 100kg podium after overcoming Ukraine's Tallinn European Open winner Artem Bloshenko in the final, again on shido penalty count-back.

Sweden's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix silver medallist Martin Pacek took bronze against Canada's Kyle Reyes while Ukraine's Dmytro Luchyn upset the home crowd by denying Hwang Min-Ho a place on the podium and bagging the second medal.

The crowd was soon cheering again as Tokyo Grand Slam winner Kim Sung-Min continued his good form with another gold medal, this time defeating Ulaanbaatar Grand Prix winner and compatriot Kim Soo-Whan in the over 100kg final.

It was again a contest decided by shidos as Kim Soo-Whan was handed a fourth and decisive penalty for passivity.

On the women's side, Hazan 2013 Universiade winner Hwang Ye-Sul took top honours in the under 70kg decider against Japan's Tomoe Uneo to bag another gold for the host nation.

The South Korean medal haul was swelled by a bronze for Kim Seongyeon while Britain's Sally Conway also made it onto the third step of the podium.

Jeong Gyeong-Mi made it two gold medals in a week as she followed up her win in Tokyo by overcoming the Ukraine's Victoriia Turks in the under 78kg class.

The South Korean took the title with an ippon seoi-nage to score a second yuko.

Her compatriot Choi Mi-Young took bronze, along with Germany's Annika Heise.

The medals continued to flow for the hosts in the final women's category, the over 78kg, as Kim Eunkyeong and Lee Jung Eun's match-up followed a familiar pattern by being decided on shido penalty count.

Both competitors incurred penalties but Kim took the gold by virtue of receiving one less than her opponent.

Bronze went to Lee Eun-Ju for the hosts while Japan's Suzuka Ichihashi secured the other podium spot.
