Aegon Championships Andy MurrayJune 12 - World-leading financial services company Aegon's British arm have extended their partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to 2017, signing a new four-year deal.

Aegon UK became the LTA's first ever lead partner when they signed a five-year deal in 2009, believed to be worth in the region of £25 million ($39 million/€29 million).

As part of the deal, Aegon will retain title sponsorship of the currently underway Aegon Championships at The Queen's Club, the Aegon Trophy in Nottingham, the Aegon Classic Birmingham, and the Aegon International in Eastbourne.

The company will also continue to sponsor Britain's Davis Cup and Fed Cup teams, which are both yet to regain World Group status, as well as supporting youth events and running their Aegon Future Stars scheme.

Aegon UK chief executive Adrian Grace said: "This is a landmark announcement and a great day for Aegon UK and the LTA.

Outgoing LTA chief executive Roger Draper added: "Aegon has been a crucial partner in our on-going work to transform British tennis, so I am delighted that they continue to share our vision and passion for the sport.

"This commitment demonstrates that they also share our excitement about the future of our sport and I would like to thank Adrian and his team for their continued support.

"Together we can look forward to promoting tennis as a game for anyone and everyone."

Financial details of the agreement have not been made public, but the new deal is believed to be worth around the same amount as the previous deal signed in 2009.
