The new deal with the Brazilian Judo Confederation (CBJ) covers the current Olympic cycle up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where the sport is expected to be among the country's most successful.

It provided one of Brazil's three gold medals at London 2012, when Sarah Menezes won the 48 kilogram category.

The team also won three broznze medals thanks to Felipe Kitadai and Rafael Silva in the men's 60kg and 100kg and Mayra Aguiar in the women's 78kg.

Bradesco were the first national sponsor to sign up for Rio 2016 when, in December 2010,they signed a six-year deal worth more than $300 million (£200 million/€230 million).

Bradesco has sponsored the CBJ since 2009.

Other partners include principal sponsor Sadia, Infraero, Mizuno, Scania and Cielo.

"The renewal of the agreement with Bradesco, one of our great partners, is a contribution of resources that will facilitate our actions to have a better performance in 2016 than in London," said CBJ President Paulo Wanderley Teixeira.
