fraccariApril 14 - Riccardo Fraccari has been confirmed as the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) President for another term, after the Italian ran unopposed for the post at the Ordinary Congress here.

Puerto Rico's Israel Roldan was elected as secretary general, Alonso Perez of Mexico as the first vice-president, Tom Peng of Chinese Taipei as the second vice-resident, and Cuban Antonio Castro, son of former Prime Minister Fidel, as the third vice-president.

Belgian Renè Laforce lost his position as treasurer to Angelo Vicini of San Marino, and three members at large, Paul Seiler of the United States, Masaaki Nagino of Japan and Luis Melero of Spain - all defeating George Gladig of Switzerland for their respective positions - were elected.

The continental vice-presidents were also approved by the congress, with Brazil's Jorge Otsuka taking the seat for the Americas, Lee Byung Suk of South Korea for Asia, Nigerian Ishola Williams for Africa, Jan Esselman of Holland for Europe and Australia's Ron Finlay for Oceania.
